Curated Spotify playlists open for submissions

I love listening to music and discovering new artists, so I figured I should curate Spotify playlists to help artists get out there and be able to enjoy myself at the same time! I currently curate three playlists with different themes, you can find them on IMOKUNO Choice. SoundCloud stream hygiene

I’ve been using SoundCloud for a long time, which means that I follow a lot of profiles and I can’t keep track of which ones that repost quality music. This started causing me problems because my stream would get cluttered by music that I don’t enjoy. I didn’t want to just unfollow people randomly, so I created an extension where you can rate tracks that appear in you stream. This means that you can see which profiles that tend to repost tracks that you enjoy, and can unfollow profiles that only repost bad tracks.

I use this extension myself, but wanted to put it out there if other people have similar problems. It is available on the Chrome Web Store, and the source can be found on my Github (extension, backend).

The Alphabet Soup

Themed playlist series on SoundCloud

I’m running a themed playlist series on SoundCloud called the Alphabet Soup, every installment has 20 tracks related to a theme. The themes vary a lot, but are usually related to genres, feelings, specific track elements, or stories I want to tell. I started the series in 2015 and there’s over 50 installments. All playlists can be found on my SoundCloud sets (https://soundcloud.com/imokuno/sets).
