About Oskar Kärrman, IMOKUNO
I started playing the piano at a young age, and I got interested in music somewhere in between that and discovering heavy metal through a compilation album. The Swedish TV show Rundgång got me into death metal and black metal, which later transitioned into hardcore.
After playing in a band with a few friends and producing some chiptuney music I got interested in EDM after I got to the age of clubbing. I enjoyed the dubstep age of 2010, probably especially so due to my history of enjoying the more aggressive genres.
I moved to Gothenburg to study, and a friend of mine was in a DJ community at University. I got to try DJing a few times and fell in love. My friend sold me his Denon MC6000MK2 which allowed me to enjoy playing big room, melbourne bounce, and trap at house parties.
SoundCloud played a very big part for me in discovering new music. It enabled me to fall in (and sometimes out) of love with genres such as jungle terror, happy hardcore, future bass, and a slew of trap subgenres. Future bounce opened me up for house which has finally led me to rock out to g-house, tech house, bass house, and some good old trap.
